Do I need special shoes for your classes and practices?

If you don't own dance shoes, most people dance in socks. For dances like waltz, tango, quickstep, and foxtrot, wearing socks is typically more comfortable than dancing barefoot. Our classes are held in rooms with well-kept wooden floors, and we are required to enforce a shoe policy to preserve the quality of these floors. The SBDT shoe policy requires:

Where can I buy dance shoes?

You can purchase dance shoes at Ballroom Dance Supply in Campbell or Ballroom Connection in Sunnyvale. If you have any questions about purchasing appropriate shoes, contact us.

Is an intermediate class appropriate for me?

Intermediate classes are geared towards dancers who have taken 2-3 quarters of our beginning level classes. Intermediate classes focus on technique and concentrate on making you a better dancer. We do encourage you to try out the classes during the first week so you can decide what suits you best. Feel free to contact us if you're unsure what level you are.
